Maddy is a licensed professional counselor with expertise in OCD, anxiety, eating disorders, depression, and perfectionism- specifically in children, adolescents, and young adults. She has extensive training and experience Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD, and works with clients experiencing intrusive thoughts, compulsions, reassurance-seeking, perfectionism, and chronic self-doubt.
Her approach to ERP is thoughtful, collaborative, and paced. Maddy emphasizes understanding OCD’s patterns, building tolerance for uncertainty, and helping clients develop confidence in responding differently to anxiety and discomfort over time. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice while remaining deeply attuned to each client’s lived experience. In addition to ERP, Maddy has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inference Based CBT (ICBT), self compassion, and mindfulness. She uses a variety of evidence-based treatments and takes a holistic, individualized approach.
Maddy is a strongly relational therapist and believes that meaningful change happens within a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. She works collaboratively with clients to create therapy that feels supportive, intentional, and human. Maddy is dedicated to ensuring every client feels heard and understood, fostering a strong rapport with each individual at their unique point in their journey. Her goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment, where clients feel valued and empowered.
